happy halloween

Happy Halloween! Even though the photo above is from last year, I promise that I have been busy taking snaps– I have so many polaroids I need to scan, and loads of film I have not yet touched that needs scanning. I’m getting there. Please know that the scene above from last year is the exact same scene we had going this year, so you are not missing out on much.

Today really is the perfect day here. We had a fire in the fireplace last week it was so chilly, but today early Autumn weather has returned. Blue skies, temps in the 60s with a sweet warm breeze, and the earth smells like Autumn just the same. I cannot get enough of it. Too bad I have to work most of the day, but I am hoping for some trick-or-treaters this evening. If my sources are correct (namely, the meteorologist on my favourite local news channel), this weather should last through the coming week, which means that I must get out my camera.

In other news, I cannot believe this weekend it is NOVEMBER. WHERE DID THIS YEAR GO? If someone figures that out, please let me know.

    Seriously, where DID October go? We’re having a brief reprieve of the cold weather here! I don’t mind the cooling temps, though, because it’s so cozy with a fire going! Happy Halloween!
